毎週のマリオファンチャット＆プレイクラス

🪠 In this interactive course, gamers will play a variety of Mario games and chat with Gaming Teacher Laura and fellow gamers! EVERY session, topics will be learner-directed.

We will play during class time on our individual gaming consoles (I may share a screen at times so they can watch as I play, and gamers will need their own device to play also. Please see supply list). Most of the games have MANY fun things to explore. We will be discussing the absolute basics that learners need to know, tips and tricks to up our game, and gameplay will by no means be exhaustive. There will be many things you can find and learn outside of class time.

Some of the things they will learn as we play:
- dynamics of the games they are playing
- characters you will meet in your adventure
- basic items
- basic enemies

It is NOT necessary for gamers to have already played all Mario games. Please be advised that some gamers may already know about other Mario games and we may discuss them, but it is not necessary to know everything about the world of Mario. 

Gamers ARE expected to spend some time between classes in gameplay so that they can discuss the game and where they need help. Gamers can jump into this class at any time and the challenges are not a requirement.

👀 Important Policies: 

My no-show policy: if no learners are in the classroom after 10 minutes, the Zoom session will be ended (this is Outschool's general policy for no-shows).

🤬 Strong language policy. While I know each family has its own standard as far as language, please remember that this is a PG-language platform and that learners should not curse during class time. If that happens, I normally give them a verbal reminder the first time. The second time, I will send a written reminder to the parent/guardian about the incident.

💥 No-bullying policy. Harassment or perceived harassment is not allowed in these classes. This includes any kind of bias or offensive remarks regarding intelligence, social status, race, gender, etcetera.
