In this ongoing 30 minute 1x a week math class, students will review numbers 1-10 by counting on our hands. Students will review warm up slides that will have them counting the objects on the screen. We will then all gather 10 M&Ms (you may also use fruit loops, different colored pom poms, skittles- anything that has a variety of colors). Students will then separate their items by color. Students will then be asked to count the amount of blue (I'm just using this color as an example) M&Ms they have. Students will then use their items using a ten frame (that is provided to you) by following the teacher's lead into addition and subtraction problems- the addition and subtraction problems will be new each week. Students will also need a pencil and paper to write out the addition and subtraction problems. 

Because this is an ongoing course, students may jump in at any time and leave at any time.  

Before enrolling your student, they should be able to count from 1-10 and identify numbers. 

To control background noise, students will be muted. Please have your child understand how to mute and unmute themselves to be able to communicate in class.
