I enjoy teaching a weekly, ongoing art class for many reasons. I love being able to see same students each week to really connect and watch them grow as an artist. It is also amazing to watch the students become friends with other learners and build their own sense of community by connecting with the same students each week.

In this weekly art class artists will be using different types of art mediums to create awesome art projects! This summer we will complete a project a week so this means you can come and go as your schedule allows. This is a great type of class to join for creating art and to be able to socialize with the same learners each week.

We will be creating art with paint, watercolors, oil and chalk pastels and creating recycled art. If an upcoming project needs a special supply I will notify you in advance so you have plenty of time to gather what might be needed. However, for most of the art projects we will be using the same variety of supplies. We will talk about color mixing, elements of art like color, line and shape as well as covering different famous artists and their works of art. 

*In my classes I love to dedicate the first few minutes to visiting as a class. If your learner is more comfortable using the chat box, then that’s perfect too! We will use both! I like how this sets the tone for our time together, helping those that might be a little nervous or new to virtual learning. It helps create that supportive and welcoming space to create.
