The slides will be given to students at the end of class to encourage further study. The content is as follows: 1. Students will learn: (1) important messages from Washington's Farewell Address; (2) the historical context of the message and our best understanding of Washington's intentions; and (3) the extent to which there is continuity of significance for Washington's concerns today.
Teacher is a Ph.D. in history with decades of experience teaching college survey courses. He is also a grader of essay portions of the Advanced Placement test for U.S. History for the Educational Testing Service.
