Whether your learner has taken voice lessons before or are just getting started, this is a great way to learn new techniques, recognize notes, and explore a variety of music styles to become an even better singer. The first few classes will run as follows: Week 1: Getting to Know Student, Sing a Familiar Song Instructor and student will spend time getting to know one another. Carlehr Swanson (vocalist, pianist, speaker) is a 2nd year Ph.D. student in Music at the University of Virginia. She is a graduate of George Mason University and the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami with degrees in Jazz Vocal Performance. Before college, Carlehr accompanied and directed multiple church choirs. She credits this experience as significantly influencing her musicality.
