Let's talk about Veterans Day with an Army veteran in this fun, fast-paced, and fact-filled hour! Using Nearpod, we'll play a series of interactive, highly engaging games to learn about the history of Veterans Day. Students will be introduced to the six branches of the U.S. miltary, and a short story about the origins of Veterans Day.
I'm an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army Military Police Corps where I served as a Corrections Specialist. My husband was a Combat Engineer in the U.S. Army and served a tour in Iraq and a year in South Korea. We have nieces, cousins, brothers, and fathers who all served in the military, as well. After the Army, I earned both bachelors and masters degrees in legal studies, worked several years as a paralegal, and then as a professional ghostwriter researching and writing books for attorneys, victims rights advocates, former FBI agents, and more. Now, I'm a homeschool mother of two and I LOVE showing kids unique stories and perspectives about the US government, history, politics, current events, and more!
