乗り物: 電車、蒸気機関車、模型鉄道はどのように動くのでしょうか?

The train is credited with "winning the west", at it's peak. Still today train tracks stretch across most continents as well as run circles in our living room. How does this ubiquitous machine actually work? Is it like a truck? Why the rails? How do you steer?

This class covers all those basic questions about reality and provides enough info to launch a new hobby of model trains, all in a fun and age appropriate manner. 

Concepts covered in this session include:
   Why are trains so important? What makes them different?
   Why do trains need rails?
   How do engines work? What is a steam engine vs diesel engine?
   How do couplers work? How do they help a train start?

All of this is presented in an age appropriate manner so the younger students can grasp and start on a proper understanding into the world we live in and the machines we use every day.

This is an interactive whiteboarding class where illustrations are used explain the lesson throughout.  Interaction means questions and comments are encouraged  to whatever level of participation the student desires.
