I've been teaching kids for more than a decade - on Outschool since 2020 - and am a homeschooling mom of two. I have lived experience regarding my own state, and a thirst for knowledge for any that I have not visited! I have taught the live version of Mewnited States on Outschool since 2023. I love to create fun classes in subjects that don't always seem as fun to learn. Weaving in creativity, kids can find an interest in a subject they didn't think they'd love!
Please print the PDF for the state we are drawing on and learning about in advance of each class meeting to be fully prepared to engage. Any art supplies can be used. Suggestions are: a pencil and markers/colored pencils/crayons.
The fun state facts shared in this class are sourced from official state and government resources. For example, the Wisconsin facts came from Wisconsin Historical Society, Travel Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
