Welcome Survivor! Learn the difference between wilderness survival/bushcraft and urban survival. Wilderness Survival (Bushcraft) – How to stay alive if you are stranded out in the elements with mother nature. (Fire, water, shelter, food, first aid, signaling). Urban Survival (Street Survival) – How to stay alive if you are in your own home or town and something like a natural disaster happens, and how to stay safe from criminals. (disaster preparedness, situational awareness, self-defense, anti-bullying, stranger danger). In this class I use a well balanced mixture of lecture, discussion, videos, pictures, and live demonstrations DURING THIS COURSE, WE WILL DISCUSS: - The survival mindset (getting calm, staying calm, and keeping a positive mental attitude) - Starting a fire (its not nearly as easy as you might think) - Finding water and treating it for consumption - Building a shelter - Signaling for help - Important gear and tools to have - Desert survival - Lost at sea (ocean survival) - Cold weather survival - Food Procurement - Trapping, hunting, and field dressing. (without any graphic content) - Knife safety and knife sharpening - What to do during the major natural disasters - What to do if you think someone is following you - How to quickly stop an attacker that is trying to kidnap you - How to escape zip ties/duct tape - How to escape the trunk of a car - How to stay safe while traveling - Dangerous animals: Identifying, avoiding, and defending against. - Long term survival in a "total collapse" scenario - Tips on staying safe during a power outage - Basics of being a "prepper" - Building an EDC or (Every Day Carry) bag - Building a "Bug out Bag" - Knot tying and different uses of rope - Extreme climate survival - Land navigating - Health and Fitness - Staying home alone safety - Anti-bullying - Situational awareness - Self Defense - Much, much, more I encourage class participation, and most students that start off shy, are raising their hands, answering questions, and participating by the end of the class. This class is excellent for parents that want to instill confidence in their student. I will also take time at the end of each class to answer questions and talk about real world scenarios. *This is an ongoing class, meeting once a week. Every week we discuss a new topic. Every 12 weeks we repeat. So if your student joins in the beginning, middle or end, as long as they stay enrolled they will eventually learn about each topic. These classes do NOT need to be taken in any specific order. I HIGHLY suggest your student repeat the 12 weeks at least once, or twice. 85% of my students repeat it 2 ,3 or even 4 times. This will ensure that they actually grasp and understand what is being taught. Since these are skills that can LITERALLY save their life, I really want them to be able to remember most of the skills they are taught. No two classes are EVER the same, even if they are the same topic. I do not follow a strict syllabus. If you have any questions regarding the class, or what topic your student will learn about on their first day of class, please let me know. I welcome all ages above the age of 5, as survival is important for all! Be safe, be confident, be prepared! Mr. O *If you are not 100% completely satisfied with your students first class I will give you a 100% refund. **I do NOT cancel classes with only 1 student in them, so unless there is an emergency, no need to worry about that. 学習到達目標
The students will learn practical survival skills in not only the wilderness but what to do if something happens in public; in the urban setting.
The more classes your students take with me the better their chances of survival will be, this is a fact. The more knowledge a person has in survival the greater their chances of survival. So by learning with me, the goal will be to have a well rounded understanding on how to stay alive in various urban and wilderness survival emergencies.

I will be talking about dangerous animals and how to avoid them and what to do if you encounter them. How to start a fire, self defense if they are getting bullied or if they are about to be kidnapped. Also, knife handling, and sharpening, trapping, hunting, skinning, and field dressing an animal. We will discuss first aid. I will not show gory or bloody images, and I am very careful to not be graphic or detailed when discussing any of these sensitive topics. I also talk about doomsday scenarios such as nuclear war, pandemics, and economic collapse. But out out of the almost 4,000 students I have taught I have only had 1 parent complaint that the class was scary.
Please take into consideration survival literally means how to NOT die. So if your student is at all anxious or gets scared easily, this class might not be fore them.
However, out of the over 4,000 students I have taught I have had less than 5 parents that that the class was a little too "much" for their student. I am really good at explaining things in a non scary manner.
