In this two-day class students (I mean aspiring archaeologists) will be introduced to the history of the Stone Age and how they used new useful tools, discovered fire, painted the walls of their caves, and so much more! Students will also learn about archeology and archeologists in class as well. Students will have the opportunity to record their discoveries using their interactive-notebook. During the second class, the students will have the opportunity to make cave paintings just like the cavepeople did during prehistoric times. I will facilitate learning by providing knowledgeable stimulation through PowerPoint presentations with images that can explore the historical perspectives of different cultures from around the world including, Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and I will provide ethical and respectful options and resources for further student inquiry. I will foster interactions between the student and content, other students, and myself.
