During these classes we will start with the basics of the history of the Ukulele, the parts of the ukulele, stings names, the 4 basic chords C, A minor, F, and G, and most importantly learning how fun it is to strum and play the instrument. I have been teaching for 17 years, I have a passion for music and love to teach it to beginning students. Music opens so many possibilities and Ukuleles are an easy instrument to learn. You can learn something one day and be able to play it right away. I teach PreK-5th grade general music and art, This including learning pitched and non pitched instruments, music history, movement, and ukulele.

There are many free apps that you can download to help tune your ukulele. I use Ukulele Tuner app and it would be great if you could tune the ukulele before class. We will talk about tuning the first class so after that class they should be able to tune the ukulele before the rest of the classes.
