Did you know there is more than one type of rainforest? In this class we will study rainforests from across the world and learn about the important and unique plants and animals you can find in each one. As you learn you will have the opportunity to take notes if you like and draw sketches of some of the plants and animals you learn about. I will give my suggestions on steps to draw but learners can experiment with their own ideas as well. Each class will include the following activities: ~...
Students will learn about different rainforests from around the world, types of plants and animals that live in them, and the importance of studying and preserving all of our rainforests.
I specialize in finding fun twists to standard curriculum to help my students build critical thinking skills as well as scientific knowledge. By adding a new twist to a familiar topic we can expand our thinking to include new possibilities. I have taught science to homeschool students for the last 16 years, and during that time I have developed many teaching techniques and hands-on projects to help students explore concepts in new and exciting ways.
Learners will need blank papers and pencils for each class, and may bring colors as well if desired.
