In this class learners will have the opportunity to choose what topics they learn and focus on something specifically eg. reading. conversational English. This class is structured based on the needs and ages of the students. I like to use games to reinforce the skills. I have access to many games of all age levels. I can focus on beginner in relation to Kindergarten, Grade 1 or I can focus on junior Grade 4, Grade 5. The topics can be altered as students needs require. Some examples include: - numbers from 1 - 20, with visuals. This may include both subtraction and addition simple sentences. - patterns (ab pattern - blue, green, blue, green) (abc pattern- small, medium, large, small, medium, large) (abcd pattern - fish, dog, cat, butterfly, fish, dog, cat, butterfly) - animals (identify, labelling, animal sounds) - farm animals -zoo animals - colours (labelling, identifying, games to locate the correct colour) - verbs (actions - run, jump, swim, hop, ride a bike) - adjectives (big, small, furry, smooth) - simple phrases and sentences E.g. "How are you? " " I am fine. I am sad. I am sleepy." "What is it?" "It is a big brown dog." - weather (rainy, sunny, cloudy, stormy, snowy) "What is the weather?" "It is rainy."

I have many years of experience working with students of all ages and exceptionalities. I work great with children who have autism, or adhd. I can be silly at times. I love using rewards to keep students engaged.

Four years ago, After a couple decades of teaching in some beautiful schools with amazing students, I decided to make a change. I left behind the "brick and mortar" schools for the online school community. I could not be happier. The online school community still has beautiful schools with amazing students.
I am so happy I made the change. I love teaching or tutoring online. I love connecting with students. I love using games, stories and props to teach students English, Math and English as a Second Language.
I love seeing children learn at their pace. I love seeing the confidence boost in children when they succeed. I love hearing how my lessons have helped children all over the world.
I love that Outschool has provided amazing teachers with amazing children so we can all learn and grow together.
