Students should invest a small amount of time after class in order to completely internalize the learning. 15-20 minutes daily for 5-7 days is usually plenty of time to practice the skill or concept after class.この文章は自動翻訳されています

This listing is for electronic keyboard or piano lessons. These classes are suitable for beginners, intermediate players, and advanced students who want to develop new skills and enhance their techniques. In these lessons, we tailor the instruction to each student’s goals, abilities, and interests. Topics we might cover include reading rhythmic, melodic, or harmonic notation; playing chord progressions; using pre-programmed accompaniment tracks; fingering techniques; creating harmonic progressions; reading lead sheets; and composing melodies. Students will also receive guidance on maintaining proper playing posture and developing hand independence. If the class does not meet the minimum enrollment, the instructor still intends to proceed, hoping more students will join. Parents who prefer their child to only participate in a group setting, rather than as a single student, should contact the instructor to inform her of their preference. Examples of class progression: - Week of September 9: 4/4 meter, quarter notes, reading G, A, E; Doug the Dog - Week of September 16: 4/4 meter, quarter notes, reading G, A, E, D; Cuddles the Cat - Week Week of September 23: 3/4 meter, quarter notes, reading G, A, E; Swan Princess - Week of September 30: Student composition project Please remember that every learner progresses at their own pace. In these one-on-one lessons, each session will be tailored to meet the learner's specific needs, based on the material covered. PARENTS: - Ensure your child has access to their instrument during the lesson. - Make sure your child knows how to mute and unmute on Zoom so they can quickly try out any ideas presented in class or ask questions as needed. - If your child is using an electronic keyboard, please ensure it has enough battery power or, preferably, is plugged into a power source. - Refer to the notes below for instructions on camera placement. - Learning materials, such as song sheets, theory sheets, and worksheets, will be provided through the Outschool class page as printables. These materials will also be shared on the screen during class. You can print these files for practice, or they can be viewed on a device with a sufficiently large screen (like a tablet). Phones are not recommended for this class or for practicing.

If the class does not reach the minimum number of students required for enrollment, the teacher will still proceed with the lessons, hoping more students will join. If you prefer your child to participate only in a group setting and not be the sole student in the class, please inform the instructor.
Please ensure your child has their instrument available during the lesson.
- Make sure your child knows how to mute and unmute on Zoom so they can quickly try out any ideas presented or ask questions when needed.
- If your child is using an electronic keyboard, please make sure it has enough battery power or, ideally, is plugged into a power source.
- Please refer to the notes below about camera positioning:
- The optimal camera position is from the side of the student, giving a clear view of the keys, hands, and posture.
- Some students use a front-facing camera position. I often share my screen, and this works best for these families. However, since I cannot see the keyboard or the student’s hands, I rely on my ears to provide feedback, which has been effective. However, I cannot correct technique or ensure ergonomic playing, though I frequently demonstrate proper techniques.
- Learning materials, such as song sheets, theory sheets, and worksheets, will be available on the Outschool class page as printables. These materials will also be shared on the screen during class. You can print the files for practice, or they can be viewed on a device with a screen large enough to be easily readable (like a tablet). Phones are not recommended for this class or for practicing.
受講に必要なもの
Learning materials, such as song sheets, theory sheets, and worksheets, will be available as printables on the Outschool class page. These materials will also be shared on the screen during class. The provided files can be printed for practice or viewed on a device with a sufficiently large screen, like a tablet, to ensure easy reading. Phones are not recommended for this class or for practice. Students should have access to a piano or an electronic keyboard. The camera or device should be positioned to allow the teacher to see both the student and their hands. For those using an electronic keyboard, it should be possible to show the teacher the instrument's button features. Parents can assist younger students with this if needed. Alternatively, parents can provide the instructor with the make and model of the keyboard so she can find a picture or diagram of its specific features.

When Ms. Sandra's parents brought a piano into the home, she was immediately fascinated and continuously rifling through her brother's and mother's songbooks, trying to figure this "thing" out on her own. Once her parents decided to allow her to try lessons, she passed her brother's progress within six months and hasn't looked back. She began teaching piano lessons over thirty years ago. To this day, she remains fascinated not only by what we can do with the piano keyboard but also by sharing the journey with others who are learning to play this wonderful instrument.
