In this 4-week Multi-Day course, we will take a virtual vacation and explore four of the most well-traveled regions of Japan. Our travel itinerary is as follows: Week 1: Tokyo & Mt. Fuji Week 2: Sapporo & Sapporo Snow Festival Week 3: Kyoto & Nara Week 4: Osaka & Himeji As we "travel to" each location together, we will explore sights that appeal to a variety of travelers. Whether you're into exciting city life and shopping, fun Japanese TV, ancient history and culture, beautiful natural formations, or scrumptious cuisine - we'll see it all! Along the way, we'll stop and learn about what life is like in Japan, discussing the aspects of Japanese culture that make it unique. I cater my classes to the needs and understanding of each group of students. There will be plentiful interaction. Comments and questions are always welcome in my classroom.

I lived in Japan for 2 years as a volunteer. We studied the Japanese language, traveled, befriended native Japanese people and from them learned much about their beautiful culture. I have personally visited most of the places in the "travel itinerary". I have also researched each area from the perspective of a "tourist" to understand them through a visitor's eyes.
