Some ASL adapted learning goals, but not limited to: 1. Vocabulary Development (CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.K.5) - Children will learn a variety of ASL signs, including the ASL alphabet, numbers, words related to self-expression, animals, and food, as well as special fall words. 2. Communication and Expression (CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.K.6) - Students will develop their ability to communicate in ASL, using basic signs and facial expressions to convey information, thoughts, and emotions effectively. 3. Listening and Comprehension (CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.K.2) - Children will demonstrate their understanding of ASL signs, instructions, and stories during interactive sessions and activities. 4. Cultural Awareness and Appreciation (CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.K.4) - Students will gain an appreciation of Deaf culture and the significance of sign language in the Deaf community, fostering cultural awareness and empathy. 5. Cognitive Skills (CCSS.MATH.PRACTICE.MP1) - Engaging in activities like finger spelling and number signing will help develop cognitive skills such as problem-solving, memory, and pattern recognition. While the CCSS may not directly align with ASL instruction, these adapted learning goals focus on language development, communication, and cognitive skills that are essential for children learning a new language like ASL.

Vocabulary Quizzes: - Administer short quizzes or flashcard sessions to assess their knowledge of ASL signs for various topics, such as numbers, animals, or food. 3. Performance Assessments: - Students will participate in an ASL song at the end of each session, using the learned vocabulary. 4. Parent Feedback: - Seek feedback from parents to understand their child's progress, especially in terms of communication and the application of ASL in daily life. (If applicable) 5.
