Each week students will learn about different events that happened during the week of the course in history and engage in a discussion about the events. Students will be able to develop critical thinking skills by analyzing the events and understanding the importance of historical events to today's world. This class is student led, meaning that students will be presented with a variety of topics from world history that happened on each day during that week, and students will choose which events they would like to chat about and analyze.

As this is an ongoing class students are welcome to come and go. Each week will have different events discussed, and the material will not build on the previous week. As each week will have different events discussed based on the historical events that happened that week, a class schedule is not provided as the topics change. Events will be chosen from a variety of places and countries in order to include multiple perspectives. Students can also come to class prepared with an event to share that they researched, but this is not a requirement to participate in the class.

Schedule:
Week of March 26: topics include the invention of the Polio vaccine, Charles I ascending the throne of England, and USA pulling out of the Vietnam War
Week of April 2: topics include the debut of the Pony Express and the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr
Week of April 9: topics include the end of the American Civil War and the political unification of Austria and Germany in 1938
