Students will need the following:
Bacteria growing kit (already prepared or The Nutrient Agar in powder form)
Jars for collecting

Student Microscope
Microscope slides/cover slips
Eye dropper

受講に必要なもの
Students will need the following:
Bacteria growing kit (already prepared or The Nutrient Agar in powder form)
with at least 10 Petri dishes
Sterile swabs (swabs in a package)
toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, or floss.
Student Microscope
Bacteria Stain (Methylene Blue)
Microscope slides/coverslips
Eyedropper
lighter/candles
paperclip/needle
clean water
latex gloves
nose/mouth mask
aquarium/pond water
sample of onion
dirt/sand
yogurt

clear nail polish

Your microscope should have at least a 10x eyepiece and three objective lenses from at least 4x to 40x. The methylene blue can be found at aquarium stores. It is a chemical. I strongly suggest for the younger students to have someone help them and store it in a cool, dry place in your home.

Hi, I have been a science teacher for over 18 years. I am a homeschool mom to a 5th grader and a 10th grader. I have homeschooled them from pre-kindergarten up until now. I have a master's degree in general science and have taught a variety of science courses at the middle, high school and college levels. I believe learning can be loud and exciting especially in science. This class gives you an indepth journey into microbiology especially if you are interested in becoming a doctor, nurse or in some other related healthcare field.
