Students will gain a deeper understanding of World War II.  

The instructor of this course has a degree in history, and was employed at a World War II submarine museum for three years before moving to Outschool teaching on a full-time basis.  While at the museum, the instructor regularly discussed the difficult details of war with learners of all ages.  The classes teacher works hard to make sure that all discussion topics are properly contextualized and that content is factual, yet appropriate for the intended age range of this course.

Learners will be completing one research project throughout the course.  The project will be completed individually, but the instructor will communicate weekly with students regarding their project.   
Each student should plan on spending 30 minutes per week researching and then creating a presentation on a World War II event of their choice.

Two quizzes will be provided to students throughout the course.  The quizzes are conducted in class as a group, and are utilized as a way to gauge student understanding of content and discuss any difficult concepts on an as needed basis.
