このクラスで学べること

This course is an ongoing class designed to allow students to share their sewing projects with one another while socializing.  Students can choose one of the projects listed below or any other sewing project of their choosing.  We will take turns sharing and discussing our projects as well as having the opportunity to ask for assistance and tips with any issues that any may be experiencing.  This club is an inclusive class where all sewing machine enthusiasts are welcome.  It is meant to be a safe place where encouragement and support is number one.  Socializing with others while sewing will brings much joy during what may be a stressful time for many.

Students may choose from one of the projects below.  Patterns will be provided upon enrollment.

Face Mask 
Small stuffed pillow
Crossbody Bag 
Zippered pencil bag
Clutch

Parents are encouraged to be present to help and support their student with any issues that may occur. Young students may require help handling sharp tools and keeping their hands at a safe distance from the sewing needle while sewing. The may also need assistance downloading and printing patterns.

受講に必要なもの

Remember to bring the following to class: Sewing machine: It can be a very simple model in good working condition with a new needle installed.  Please refrain from buying a small kids or toy sewing machine.  These tangle and create more problems.  Models like any Brother LX version or Singer will work.  Please have an extra bobbin and needles in case one breaks.

Basic Sewing supplies: cotton fabric (amount needed will be on pattern provided),chalk, pencil, straight pins with pincushion or a place for pins, thread matching your fabric, zipper (if your pattern requires one), scissors for paper and a separate pair for fabric. Poly-fill stuffing for your small pillow, 

Cutting surface: a surface big enough to set fabric, pattern and a cutting mat.

Patterns:  six patterns will be available for download upon enrollment.  Please double check that pattern measures what is written on pattern.

I fell in love with sewing when I was just a little girl.  Both my grandmother and mother loved to sew and passed on the gift of knowledge to me.  I currently teach kids and adults how to sew and have an online store in which I sell handbags and wallets among other items. Sewing is a life skill that will always be useful, rewarding and has the potential to become a source of income.
