The first part of the assignment involves locating an image that demonstrates the photographic concept/theme being discussed that particular week. We will meet twice a week. The first meeting will be a multimedia lecture, discussion of a specific aspect of photography and/or the work of famous photographers from the past and present. The weekly photographic mission will be assigned in this first meeting and will be based on the lecture. The second meeting will be 3-4 four days later for the purpose of exhibiting their completed mission and participating in peer-review and discussion. Topics include, but not limited to: Photographic History Composition Techniques Learning to Light Types of Photography Famous Photographers Color Theory Black & White and Color Photography Building a Portfolio How to Critique Images Qualities of Great Image Experimental Photography **NOTE** CLASS WILL PROCEED EVEN IF ONLY ONE STUDENT IS ENROLLED.

The student simply needs to have access to some form of camera film and/or digital. And a way to submit the image digitally for review and exhibition The Student will also need standard study supplies and will be required to keep a journal of their process as a growing artist.
