     - Define and Identify Theme and Symbolism
     - Define and Identify the Relationship Between Theme and Symbolism
     - Debate What Makes a Classic Novel a Classic?

I have taught this novel every year that I professionally taught. I hope that students enjoy the powerful and exhilarating action novel of The Great Gatsby. It is something I have covered with sophomores, juniors, and seniors in high school and have covered this novel in several Socratic Seminar discussion-based courses in tutoring sessions and in classic novel studies on Outschool.
