In the first part of the class, we will discuss what a carnival is. I will introduce a composer Camille Saint-Saëns and tell a few facts about him. Then, I will tell a story accompanied by The Carnival of the Animals' music. We will briefly discuss several animals presented in Saint-Saëns's The Carnival of the Animals suite.
