Students will have the opportunity to discuss books and characters from "The Baby-Sitters Club" graphic novel series, while fully immersing themselves in this timeless world!

Hello all learners and parents!  My name is Mandy and I teach classes designed to help children reduce stress and anxiety.  I have 16years of experience using techniques that are research-based and proven to aid in mind/body relaxation.  My goal is to help children learn to cope with and manage anxiety through techniques they can use throughout their lives.

My academic background is in Clinical Psychology.  I have both a B.S. and M.S. in Clinical Psychology and have 20 years of experience working with youth.  I have worked in a therapeutic setting since 2004, teaching social skills groups, relaxation exercises, art therapy, and play therapy sessions.  As a psychometrist, I have extensive experience administering comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and cognitive rehabilitation assessments, including vision therapy and neurofeedback, with children and adolescents.  I have worked with a wide range of diagnoses (ADHD, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, Autism, Dyslexia, behavior disorders, etc.), ages (age 2 to adult), and intellectual levels (severely delayed to gifted).

I am an avid reader and a lifelong Baby-Sitters Club fan!  In my childhood, I eagerly awaited each new book, and spent every penny of my allowance on them.  I'm proud to say that there was a time in my life where I had every single book in the original series!
