Come and explore the amazing "superpowers" of the elements of the periodic table. We will begin class by discussing the elements of the periodic table, the groups the elements are placed in, and explain the information that the periodic table tells us about each element. Then we will pick an element and design our own "super" element trading card! Will your character glow in the dark? Energizing? Metallic? Lighter than air? Students will leave class with a unique character of their creation and a new understanding of the periodic table. No prior knowledge of chemistry is necessary for this class.
