Hello Families! Thank you for exploring my First Grade Math Time Class. 

Why Miss Lauren’s Math Class?
✦I am a certified educator with over 8 years of teaching experience. 
✦My career has had a primary focus in early childhood. I’ve taught preschool, kindergarten, and first grade. With this experience is mind my goal is to make sure students have the skills needed to thrive in primary grades!
✦ I am following a accredited curriculum that I have utilized while teaching in the public schools, Delta Math. I found that when used with my students they made tremendous growth. 
✦I provide a classroom culture where all students feel acknowledged, valued, and are able to thrive.
✦ I teach classes with a small maximum of learners, as I believe small group instruction is the most beneficial to learners. 
✦I provide learning materials for when your child is not in class so the skills we learn can be reinforced. 
✦There are multiple class times that can be chosen from to meet you and your families schedule! 
	✦Monday/Friday : 11:30 am - 12: 00 pm
        ✦Monday/Wednesday : 4:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Materials Needed
I ask that families print off the “We do” and “I do” worksheets for each lesson as we will be completing them together while in class. If you do not have a printer at home students may use paper/pencil or whiteboard/marker. 

Expectations
Parents, please assist your child off camera when needed. I aim to allow students to keep their microphone on in order for full participation and for the opportunity to interact with peers. If needed I will mute students in order to keep the class running smoothly. It is best to find a quiet space in your home for your child to take the class. Thank you for understanding! 

About this Class 
This is a perfect class for students 6-7 years of age who have recently just completed first grade and are looking for a summer refresher. Or for students who will be entering first grade in the fall. I follow the Delta Math curriculum which focuses on key first grade math standards. I have utilized this program while teaching in public schools and found that students made great growth while learning from the curriculum. This class will run 2 times a week for 5 weeks in the summer. 

Class Schedule 
✦Welcome Song & Greeting
✦ Teacher modeled problems - Students will work alongside me to solve problems. 
✦Counting & Movement Break - Moving enables learning, and incorporating counting is the perfect addition to our math class. We will follow a counting movement video as a class. 
✦We Do - Students will utilize the worksheet I have provided labeled “We Do” with the lesson number. We will work together as a class to complete the worksheet. 
✦You Do - Students will utilize the worksheet I have provided labeled “You Do” with the lesson number. Students will have time to complete the worksheet, ask me questions, and then we will check the worksheet as a class. 
✦Goodbye - See you next time!
