Reading skills are fundamental to all learning. One of the values of Latin is that studying it improves a student's ability to write and to read English. This fact means that studying some Latin is an ideal vehicle for teaching basic language skills. At all levels of study, I want my students to leave my class not only discovering that learning languages is rewarding, but also with improved English reading and writing skills. This is an ongoing course that can be entered at any time.

- The aim is to teach students basics of Latin that also enrich their ability to use English. At the end of this eight-week class, students will have a basic knowledge of Latin vocabulary and grammar and knowledge of basic Roman history.
