During this one week Summer Camp class, we will explore the history, highlights and animals of these incredible National Parks:

Day 1 - Yellowstone National Park
Day 2 - Grand Canyon National Park
Day 3 - Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
Day 4 - Yosemite National Park

After each class, students will hopefully feel like they have actually been to each park! 

Students will be encouraged to visit as many National Parks as they can over their lifetime!  During each class, students will be given additional resources to continue on their path to learning more about these very special places.

This class will be presented via powerpoint presentation and is mostly lectured based, although students will have several opportunities to ask or answer questions and interact in class. Video clips are shown in each class, to highlight animals and special locations in each of the parks. Although homework is not required, students are encouraged to write a few paragraphs after class, to be read out loud to their families. Class presentations will be uploaded to the classroom after each class, so students may download and keep them forever. I recognize that all students have different learning needs, and encourage students to complete whichever after-class assignment they feel most comfortable with.
