In this multiday class, we will focus on different aspects of taking care of your new puppy. Each day you will join me and my dog Bear as we demonstrate and discuss how to care for your pet. We will have fun learning together through discussion, slide show presentations, and group problem solving. Students will gain the confidence and skills necessary to be responsible for taking care of their dog.
I have had dogs my whole life, with lots of experience taking care of them. It's my passion to learn everything I can about their care. In my classes, I only teach positive reinforcement and relationship-based training. I'm working towards getting certified as a personal dog trainer. Students are welcome to bring their dogs to class with them and any current supplies that might be needed for that weeks class. More details will be given upon enrollment.
In the class about keeping your pet healthy we will briefly discuss spaying and neutering. Disclaimer: I am not a veterinarian, and will not be giving medical advice only suggestions on how to keep your pet healthy and when they may need to see a vet. If there is any question or concern about your pet's health it's always best to call or check in with your vet immediately.
I have created handouts and note sheets to give to students throughout the course. These will be posted in the classroom before or after the appropriate class. These notes can be combined to make a nice dog care booklet for your student.
