-Pencil
-Colored pencils, crayons, and/or markers
-Pastel Paints (any colors or brand) (Walmart has cheap ones or Amazon)
-Acrylic Paints (any colors or brand) (Walmart and Hobby Lobby has cheap ones)
-Brush set (any brush set with a variety of brushes will work - link to a few options is below) 
-Sketch paper or white paper
-Canvas or poster to paint on (11x14 is preferred)


Also, if your student prefers to have a kit of everything, this kit is a great one for all young artists.
