Carter, a homeschooling mother, college English professor and homeschool guidance counselor with a post graduate certificate in “College Admissions” from Columbia University guides students in the development of study skills to ensure college success. Parents should purchase the eBook, “Get Good Grades in College” This class is based on Carter's eBook, "Get Good Grades in College".

Homework will reinforce study skills being taught.in each session. Participants will watch the video teaching lesson (approximately 40 minutes each) per session. Students will also read the accompanying posted materials per week from the eBook, " Get Good Grades in College" and other supplemental materials provided by the teacher. Students will also respond to weekly teacher-posted questions regarding each video lesson and complete a weekly learning journal. The learning journal will reinforce topical study skills. Students will correspondence with the teacher through email, posted class discussion and feedback on assignments. Students will receive feedback through the class discussion. Supplemental materials will also be posted in the Google Classroom.
