Researchers believe that a young women's self confidence drops when she turns 13. It is my goal to make sure that does not happen*. Empowered women have the ability to change the world around them. In this 6 meeting course, girls ages 9-12 will work on their self-esteem and self confidence. Self-esteem and self confidence will help prepare them for their teen years through resilience and bravery. Each meeting, participants will work on activities that promote self-esteem and confidence. Participants will discuss what self-esteem means to them and why it's important. Participants will engage in activities that promote self-esteem and confidence. Participants will also engage in conversation and discussion regarding confidence and self-esteem. Activities will include topics such as self-love, positive messages, and sticking up for yourself. * There are many factors that play into a young girl's confidence and self-esteem. This course aims to motivate and promote confidence and self-esteem. The conversation and learning should continue after this class.

Learners will need loose leaf paper and various printed handouts throughout the course. Crayons and markers are optional but very fun!
