In this class learners will engage in conversation as we learn about science, technology, engineering, and math. Each week we will create a project, these projects are listed below. As a class we will explore ideas and make predictions, engage in thought processing and focus on each learners strengths. I enjoy teaching hands on classes and I currently teach a Co-op STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) class that has been successful for 2 years. I feel that hands on learning is my area of expertise, because I have studied this way of learning for many years and this is also the way I learn best. I also continue educating myself on ways to improve this learning style.

Week 1 Catapult Materials: Popsicle sticks (8) Rubber bands (at least 5) Glue Plastic bottle cap to hold a cotton ball Cotton ball (If you do not have any available, you can make a small ball by crumbling some paper.) Small open area (One square meter will do. It should be a sturdy, flat surface such as a table or floor.)
