While learners learn about the different types of construction vehicles and equipment and tools found at most construction sites, they will also be practicing many skills. Such skills are public speaking, taking turns to speak, listening, communication skills, fine and gross motor skills, using their creative imaginations to create and engineer their own construction site using playdoh, magnatiles, kinetic sand, building blocks and more. Students will improve communication skills, public speaking, listening skills, creative thinking, fine and gross motor skills with the art projects, taking turns, learn about various construction trucks, vehicles, equipment, tools and signs found at construction sites.
Teacher will highly encourage all learners to participate and speak during the interactive class, however, only if learners are comfortable.

Handouts that will be needed prior to class will be posted 24-hours in advance. Paper (white or construction paper) and printer will be recommended. Students will be using kinetic sand, playdough, blocks, bricks, or even paper to construct their own structure (ie. bridge, building, house and etc.). Use any supplies you already have at home (no need to purchase anything). Ms. Stephenie encourages creativity during the engineering/design process, so please use any toys or art supplies you already have at home.
