Has the Mandalorian Din Djarin) always been one of your heroes? Then this class is for you! This is a highly-interactive, discussion-based class that encourages student engagement and conversation. I will structure our lesson by asking the students a series of open-ended questions (supplemented by a few video clips as well) as they relate to the Mandalorian and his journey through the Star Wars saga. In order to ensure that our discussion remains as orderly as can be expected, and so that every student gets a chance to contribute, this class is capped on the smaller side (6 students). The only required experience for students is to be familiar with the Mandalorian and the key events in his life as depicted in Star Wars. There's no harm in re-watching any of the Star Wars movies or TV shows in order to prepare for the class!

Students will be able to make connections to how the Mandalorian's journey in Star Wars contains valuable lessons that are applicable to our own lives. Students will also get the opportunity to hone their critical thinking skills, as well as practice having respectful conversations with their peers.

The Mandalorian's journey in Star Wars has its dark moments -- highlighted by his initial occupation as a bounty hunter. In addition to mild sci-fi violence being present throughout all the Star Wars films, themes of revenge, temptation, and betrayal are also prevalent.

In the days prior to the meeting, I will provide a brief handout that contains guidelines for our discussion on our Classroom page, along with a list of a handful of questions and topics I plan for us to discuss.
