This Ongoing Musical Theatre class is aimed at children who would like to practice and learn skills required for the art of Musical Theatre. (Triple-Threat Training in Acting (Drama), Vocal (Singing) and Dance). It is suitable for both beginners and those with a little experience aged 8 - 11 Years. Children can join at any time. Class Breakdown Example:- Introduction Warm Up - Movement/Drama Game Drama & Vocal Exercises Teacher Selection of:- Drama (Acting Skills/Mime), Short Song or Short Dance/Performance. Drama Game/Cool Down/Acting Exit Teaching Style:- I have a positive approach to teaching. I like to praise and encourage. When I'm speaking or have music playing I may keep the students muted so they are able to hear me/the music clearly but I will be interacting and spotlighting the children throughout. The pace of the class will reflect the children in the class. The class currently runs on Wednesdays 2 p.m. Central USA Time. The class is may be currently full but please send requests for other times or add your learner to the Wait List. Students will practice a variety of skills required for the art of Musical Theatre (Triple Threat Training - Drama, Vocal and Dance). Skills practiced will vary but each class should help the Learner gain confidence as well as having fun.

Parental Guidance:-
Please ensure children have enough space to move around and remove anything they may bump into or knock down (e.g. your expensive vase!).
Class Attire:- Please wear appropriate free-moving clothes e.g. tee-shirt with leggings, leotard and wear either jazz shoes or bare-feet (not socks) so they do not slip/trip during the class.
Fitness:- Your child should be in a fit and healthy state. Please check with your doctor if you have any concerns.

I have been teaching dance and musical theatre for over 25 years. I am a qualified professional dance teacher with the NCDTA and IDTA (U.K.) I have taught all ages from young to adult; also training other teachers. I am currently the Theatre Director of a Dance Studio in the USA. I also teach Speech, Drama and Music holding a B.A.(Hons) Drama/Theatre & Music (London). I have directed many youth Musical Theatre productions including High School Musical, Grease, The Little Mermaid, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Beauty and The Beast, The Wizard of Oz and Hairspray. Several of my former pupils are now Professional Performers working around the world including in London's West End and on Cruise Ships. I have also entered many children for both 'Speech and Drama' and 'Musical Theatre' examinations, consistently gaining high results.
