In this one time class, we will meet as a small group to celebrate the holiday of St. Patrick’s Day together! 

I keep the class size small, limiting it to only 5 students, so that each child can get the attention they need during class. I am very patient and responsive, and I focus on providing a dynamic learning environment that is welcoming and fun. I want each child to feel comfortable asking and answering questions and expressing their ideas. 

We will be reading a colorful rhyming book about lucky leprechauns, clovers, and treasure. We will also practice our counting skills by counting how many leprechauns we can find in the story and counting out shamrocks from 1 to 10. 

After story time, we will have a mini lesson to learn about the country of Ireland. We will examine pictures of the lush green Irish landscape and learn some facts about Ireland. 

The book we will be reading is Ten Lucky Leprechauns by Kathryn Heling.
