In this ongoing class, we meet once a week. This class is for Grade 1 spelling. Learners will need to bring a notebook and a pencil to class with them. They will write down their 10 spelling words for the week. We will practice the words with some fun games. I have a wheel on my Ipad/Phone, I will spin and we will do what the wheel lands on. This is a subscription class but students are welcome to join at any time. Examples are: -Write your words using noodles, dough or candy. -Write your spelling words in all capital letters. -Write spelling words three times each. -Draw a picture and hide the spelling word in the picture. -Rainbow write-write spelling words in different rainbow colors with a crayon. A sentence using a spelling word. and more..., let's see what the wheel lands on. We will have a different spelling list each week. 6/27: sight words 1 7/04: sight words 2 7/11: word with at 7/18: words with the and you 7/25: words with its 8/01: words with et at the end 8/08: words with ot 8/15: words with ut & and 8/22: words with an 8/29: words with in 9/6: words or, ou & as 9/12: tricky words 9/19: words with ad 9/26: words with en, un,& wh 10/03: words with ed & od 10/10: words with id & ob 10/17: words with b at the end 10/24: words with ap & ud 10/31: words with ip 11/07: words with op 11/14: words with ag, up, ch & st 11/21: words with eg, ig & er 11/28: words that end in g 12/5: words with all 12/12: words with ell, ld & sight words 12/19: words with ill & ull 12/26 ---Winter break--- 1/03: words with ee & aw 1/09: words with a in them 1/16: words with ing 1/23: words with ow 1/30: sight words 2/06: words with oo New topics will be introduced in the upcoming weeks Students will be given new spelling words. Students will write them down in our spelling notebooks, then we will spin the wheel on my phone/IPad and play some fun spelling games. I look forward to meeting your learners in class.

I am a homeschool mom and childcare professional. I have owned and operated a childcare business for over 13 years and have been homeschooling my daughter for 9 years.
