Welcome to Math Mysteries Level 1

If students don’t have access to a printer there will be a digital PDF version for students to download and they may use Kami or any other program that allows them to write their answers on.

Students will use their math skills to find the culprit of 3 mystery math games each week. Those stories are filled with 4-5 clues but lots of math decoding problems such as addition, subtraction, money, fractions, angles, equations, and many more math operations that students encounter throughout their math classes.

Every mystery has a difference level of difficulty or easy challenge since every mystery is different. Since this is a flex class and students will do it at their own pace it is extremely important that students still interact with each other.

To ensure that students interact with each other students will be required to post and comment back on their peers discussions. Students will receive 3 mystery stories every week with a prerecorded lesson of how to solve the mystery. Students will have the choice to follow me as we solve the mystery or stop the video and try it on their own to see if they can solve who they culprit is. If your child feels that 3 mystery puzzles is too much then they may do 2 puzzles or follow along with me in the prerecording. The prerecording will be just like if we were in class as they will be asked to pause and unpause the video for them to solve the problems. It helps if your child knows at least their multiplication and division but If not a file will be provided to ensure their success in the class
