このクラスで学べること
An ongoing class where we get to talk about all topics concerning adolescence and young womanhood as they relate to our cultural & racial backgrounds. This class is meant to be a young sistas circle, for girls to share in this safe space while making connections that will last. Topics may be pre-selected and also suggested by participants. Each session will incorporate some type of art exercise/project as well to help with our deeper expressions. I encourage any young girls who are struggling in social circles, or just looking for new friends to join this space! Classes will usually open with a discussion question that will lead into the art activity of the day. All learners can feel open to leaving their mics on throughout class and talking freely and respectfully. Topics will be updated frequently and learners are welcome to suggest topics. Topics may include, but are not limited to: Week of 9/12 Friendship Week of 9/19 Tik Tok & YouTube Week of 9/26 Multicultural families Week of 10/3 A.I. Week of 10/10 Beauty Standards Week of 10/17 Fashion & Dress Code Week of 10/24 Netflix Movies or Shows Week of 10/31 Cyberbullying Hope to see you in this ongoing girls talk!

Some topics may bring up emotional experiences. Ms. Sydney takes care to navigate these topics with empathy and compassion. The topic of the session will be posted in the classroom ahead of time for parents and learners to view. Instructor will use google slides. No need for students to access on their own.

Topics are selected in order to facilitate deeper exploration and growth. Learners do not need to share if they don't feel comfortable. Learners have the opportunity to choose topics as well.レビュー
