Assignments include fill-in-the-blank, writing open-response questions, drawing, and many others. Students will also complete three projects during the class. Each project will be centered around one of the topics we are learning about, and students will have a variety of choices to choose from that matches their interests. Students will receive four grade reports throughout the class (approximately every four weeks). The grade report will detail grades on assignments and class participation. A final letter grade can be given if requested.評価

This Social Studies course is based in American History. Students will learn the history of the United States as it becomes a modern nation. Students learn to use research, writing, and critical thinking skills in this class. Throughout the course, students will learn about the value of public service and the traits of good leaders. Students will learn about history and explore themes of geography, economics, civic responsibility, and government. This class will include multiple viewpoints while discussing and learning about historical events and people. Each week, the students will receive three to five lessons in Google classroom. This will help to increase your learner’s understanding. The packet will include readings and assignments. Assignments include answering questions, fill-in-the-blank, open response, and creative lessons. A quiz will sometimes be included in the assignments. **This class does NOT include a live class. ** A video will be posted each week discussing the topic from the course outline. Students will also complete three projects throughout the semester. Each project will be centered around one of the topics we are learning about and students will have a variety of choices to choose from that matches their interests. Examples of projects include: making a short film, developing a virtual presentation, writing an essay, create a game, family interview, fashion review, create a pamphlet, and many more. Students will interact with each other within the Outschool classroom by answering and responding to discussion posts each week. Students will also interact with each other by playing Kahoot!, an online trivia game. Learners will interact with the teacher through both the discussion posts as well as receiving feedback on the weekly assignments.
