Students will gain insight into the teaching career--from classroom responsibilities to financial considerations (salaries, benefits, etc).  Students will also learn ways they can prepare now, as high school students, for a successful career in this rewarding profession.  The goal of the class is to prepare students to be realistic about the profession so that they have the best chance of a happy, long-term career.

24 years experience as a public school teacher and administrator (principal), responsible for hiring teachers:
Elementary Education--certified (with preschool, elementary, and middle school teaching experience)
Preschool Special Education--certified
Gifted and Talented Endorsement
Reading Endorsement
Education Administration (M.Ed. and Ed.D.)
