「友達とシェアしよう！」

In this one-time class for children ages 8-12, we will meet to share and/or perform for our new friends. In this safe and encouraging environment, your child can sing a song they wrote, recite a poem, put on some music and share their dance routine, tell some jokes, read aloud from a favorite book or perform magic! Whatever they would like to share is wonderful. The only rules are that we pay attention to our friends, clap, and find something we like about what was presented. We share an encouraging comment and ask questions (e.g. “You did a good job” “I liked the part when…” “How did you learn how to do this?”). This class is all about trying new things and getting comfortable sharing our talents. Each class begins with introducing ourselves and playing an icebreaker game like “if you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?”, then I facilitate sharing order and talk back after each performance. If your child decides they want to wait, that's okay too! We will still have them observe and say what they liked about the performances. The children will have up to four minutes each to share and we will do another round if time permits. Let's have fun building friendships and fostering creativity at the same time!
