Does your child want to learn how to sew? Sewing handmade cards is a great way to start learning different stitching patterns. Since this is a small pattern it is easy to handle and when they are finished they can have a nice card to gift. Each week your child will learn how to sew and make a new greeting card. A video of the lesson will be provided to the learner so they can watch, pause, and repeat as necessary. This project can be time consuming depending on the project, learners ability, and sometimes mistakes happen that we need to correct. Each class will begin with how to be safe (since we are using a sewing needle) then I will demonstrate how to make the card from start to finish. Weekly Breakdown: Week 1- Puppy Card Week 2- Flower Bookmark Week 3- Fairy Card Week 4- Mouse Card Week 5- Airplane Card Week 6- Train Card Week 7- Frog Card Week 8- Fish Card Week 9- Cat Card Week 10- Pig (2 different cards to choose from) Week 10- Chick Card Week 11- Bunny (1 card and 1 bookmark) Week 12- Princess Card Week 13- Flower Happy Birthday Card Week 14- Sailboat Card Learners will have the opportunity to share the cards they make with other students and give positive feedback.

保護者へのお知らせ
There is a safety precaution to this class since we will be using a sewing needle. I will go over the safety procedures at the start of each video but please make sure your child understands the safety of using a sewing needle and not leaving it laying around.

Students will need - Paper (to print the design template) - Cardstock or paper (to "punch" the design into) - additional cardstock or paper to create the greeting card (*if you don't wish to create a card then you do not need this) - tape - Sewing needle Things I find helpful: ~ Cork (to hold the needle to punch the holes in the paper so that it can be sewn) ~ Foam piece (to put behind the paper for protection ~ Clipboard (to hold the paper and the foam in place)
