このクラスで学べること
In this class students will learn amazing facts about storms. As students learn facts they will complete four different science experiments. Experiments include: Make a rain cloud, Make it hail in a jar, Understand how high and low pressure systems work, Create your own water cycle. Prior to the start of this class, students will need to freeze water, dyed with blue food coloring, into two ice cubes. Teacher will ask questions to guide students thinking throughout the lesson. Students do not need any prior knowledge about storms. All experiments are done live. If the student does not have the necessary materials to complete the experiment at home they may still participate in the class by watching the teachers live experiments. Please Note: Siblings and Co-Learners must be enrolled to attend and participate in class. *This class will still be taught with only one learner. Parents will be notified if no other learners have enrolled 24 hours prior to class, confirming that their learner is comfortable with a one on one class. Cancelation due to low enrollment is at the discretion of the parent only. I, the teacher, will not cancel the class due to low enrollment. * Supply List: Rain Experiment: Ziploc Bag Tap Water Permanent Marker Food Coloring (Optional) Tape High/Low Pressure System: Clear plastic rectangular Tub/Tupperware Warm Tap water Two Frozen Blue Ice Cubes (Prior to class place blue food coloring and water in an ice cube tray and freeze it) Red Food Coloring Rain Cloud: Shaving Cream (Foam) Tap Water Clear or glass cup Food Coloring Hail Storm: Cooking Oil (1/4 cup max) Tap Water Food Coloring (any color but orange and yellow) One container for mixing One Clear or glass cup Spoon
