Come join this interactive, fun class to brush up on your reading and word work skills for third and fourth grade! Class Content: Each week we will meet to review third and fourth skills. During class we will use a variety of methods and learning styles including hands-on projects, paper assignments, sorts, visuals, books, and other activities to help all learners engage and make the most of this class and reinforce skills. - Learners will review 3rd and 4th grade reading comprehension and phonics/word work skills.
I have been a brick and mortar teacher for ten years teaching all elementary grades with a variety of learners, ages, abilities, and needs. I have worked with general education, exceptional needs, and ENL/ESL students over the years.
This class will involve various activities including hands-on, slides, craftivities, games, etc based on the class dynamics so all learners have an opportunity to gain the skills offered in this course.
Learners should be familiar with 3rd/4th grade reading comprehension and phonics skills.
Each week learners will be sent material to print out for class. Learners will also need the following items each time we meet: pencils, coloring materials, scissors, and glue.
There may be use of scissors and glue during class. Tech usage: the websites may be used during class to allow the use of educational games. Please be nearby if any issues arise technology wise but make sure to stay off camera. This does not require any sort of account.
All information in this class will be from my ten years in the brick and mortar schools. The books will be sourced from the readinga-z website. The standards covered will be based on the common core curriculum.
