Dan is available to teach any age and any level. He is a professional jazz saxophonist with over 10 years experience and has played with artists such as Jon Herington from Steely Dan and Billy Petersen from the Steve Miller Band! If you are interested in learning the saxophone, especially with an emphasis on jazz and improvisation, then you have come to the right place. Dan will be teaching you all the basics! Everything including: Assembling the saxophone Proper embouchure Understanding reeds Finger placement Getting the right sound Air Support/Diaphragmatic Breathing Basic Scales/Arpeggios/ Fun Songs Reading Music Time Signatures and Key Signatures

Dan will make sure you avoid the bad habits that can be formed when starting a new instrument and make sure you are learning the right way in order to accelerate your progress! Dan understands the nuances of beginning a wind instrument and will help you every step of the way.
