ロボット工学とコーディング: 仮想ロボットのコーディング方法を学びましょう!

In this 90 minute class, students will be taught to code using a VR (virtual) robot! They will learn about the sorts of jobs robots can do for humans, and how we can control them. We will be giving our robot a cool challenge: to knock down every single brick in the work area! 

Class Agenda:

Welcome and Introductions
Overview of the topic - What are robots and why are they useful?
Introduction: Learn about the VEX VR coding platform
Coding: Command your robot to drive
Coding: Teach your robot to sense objects
Coding Challenge: Program your robot to knock down all the bricks in the arena
Coding Challenge: Make the robot write your name
Share projects and wrap up

Teaching Methodology:

Our approach is project-based. We strongly believe that engaged, happy students are the best learners. Our projects have an end goal, and most are game based. We use coding to solve a problem, such as protecting marine life by clearing debris from the ocean floor. We have up to 6 student in this class, allowing the class to be interactive with lots of opportunities to ask questions and share knowledge. 

What you would need:

- A computer/laptop or tablet with a web browser
- Ideally a separate device for Zoom so that the students can see the teacher's shared screen and work alongside

Age Requirement: 

7 to 12

No prior coding experience necessary.
