In this class we will play a variety of Roblox games including: Bloxburg (building game) MM2 Arsenal Natural Disaster Survival Catalogue Avatar Creator Andy's Musical Chairs Breaking Point Laundry Simulator Retail Tycoon 2 Grapple People Simulator Funky Friday ...and more! DURING CLASS: We will vote on games to play throughout class. We will spend 10-20 minutes in each game. Any voted for game will be added to the queue and played (usually within 2 class periods) so rest assured if your choice doesn't get played, I will work it in soon! *We will aim to play on private servers as often as possible! IF YOU DON’T LIKE OUR GAME CHOICE: You are welcome to stay in the meeting, talk and hangout, you can play a different game on Roblox for 20 minutes, and then jump back in with us at the start of the next game! THERE ARE THREE METHODS TO TALK TO ME about any concerns during class: 1. Learners must be comfortable using the chat to communicate 2. We have a code word for tech issues 3. Speak to me out loud during class MAKE SPACE FOR OTHER LEARNERS: Be careful not to talk over others, do not name call, no bad words, and try not to interrupt one another. I may mute the class from time to time if there is something important that I need to get across. I do welcome talking; I want you all to have a good time and be able to talk and play as well! (= __________ Additional class details below... __________ ***IMPORTANT SCHEDULING NOTE: My club concept provides more opportunities to jump in, build and socialize, allows learners to be flexible in attendance (come and go as you please) as well as encourages quick return to support inspired learners to continue on without having to wait several days to return! ***IMPORTANT ACCOUNT NOTE: LEARNERS MUST HAVE A ROBLOX ACCOUNT prior to joining this class. ****ROBLOX CREATORS: While it is awesome that there are many learners who are CREATING games on Roblox, this class is not a testing ground for those classes. We will only be playing popular settled games on the Roblox platform. We have also had issues where a learner might be a moderator (creator) for a game and then we faced public-server type bugs, and it simply cannot be controlled as well as private servers/the teacher. BUILD LIFE SKILLS:
Live in the virtual town of Bloxburg. Build a home, go to work, interact with people, and live a virtual life!
DEVELOP A TALENT:
There are eight different talents you can develop: athletics, cooking, gaming, gardening, intelligence, music, painting, and writing. Receive a trophy when you reach level 10 in a talent!
CONSTRUCTION PRACTICE:
Many children are builders. Whether it be tent forts, legos, or more complex things within games. The set up for roblox and construction is simple but COMPLEX. There are seemingly endless options and opportunities to choose from. Construction is very enriching for a childs' growth:
-Development of their coordination and fine motor skills.
-Building helps them learn geometrical shapes, colors, sizes and spatial concepts.
-Stimulates skills such as concentration, attention, creativity and imagination.
-Practice requires planning/inventing a scheme or model to follow. If played within a group, the child can also learn about cooperation and teamwork.
-They promote a child’s understanding of reality and they can also teach children about roles and functions when they play with other children.
-Helps children familiarize themselves with the laws of physics such as gravity and balance.
-Building can help increase a child’s self-esteem and confidence. When they achieve certain objectives and see that their effort is appreciated, this will make them proud and motivated to excel.
-It promotes organization

I hope to continue my education. I aspire to use my education and experience to educate your darling children.
Experience…
I have been teaching online (various platforms) since 2018 and I have been teaching in person since high school - from pre-k to 12th grade to adults and adults with intellectual disabilities. I absolutely love the opportunity to educate and inspire my students to WANT to learn.
In the classroom...
I value kindness in the classroom, I am gentle, I think participation from all learners is incredibly important, and learning a variety of ways makes an experience invaluable (verbal, hands on, and any other way we can!). I hope to be engaging and fun but also offer knowledge that inspires 'seeking' and dreaming, like I have found in my life.
Fun fact...
Something fun and personal about me: I have travelled and lived all over the United States as well as the Dominican Republic and Guatemala. I was born in Hawaii and have experienced HOT weather of over 100 degrees (help!) as well as COLD (brrrrr!) below 0 degrees. I have also had many many different kinds of pets including exotic ones! It has been so fun. Ask me about them sometime. (=
