I worked as a mental health counselor working with children and adolescents for over 10 years and I have been a Director of Education and Director of Compliance for Career Colleges over the years. My education at the Bachelors level was in Psychology, the Masters level was Mental Health Counseling and my PhD work has been in both Clinical and Educational Psychology. I love to engage in interactive teaching and learning and I am a strong believer in the student centered approach to education.

Discussion of Anxiety Disorders can be a sensitive topic but if any students seem to be uncomfortable I will excuse them from the class and talk with them afterwards. If any concerns are noted I will let parents know. This is not a counseling class. It is a 2 hour informational class to help learners to identify symptoms of anxiety and some tools to help to reduce it.
